Bubastis Oasis is an officially chartered body of U.S. Grand Lodge, Ordo Templi Orientis (also known as the Caliphate O.T.O., see “History of O.T.O. Under Crowley” for more information). Founded in 1988 EV, Bubastis is the oldest operating O.T.O. body in Texas, and one of the oldest in the south central region.

We offer a welcoming environment to nurture one’s creativity, spirituality, and self-expression through the sacred rites of ritual, dramatic rites, and celebration, as well as physical and mental exercises designed to facilitate the advancement of the individual in Light, Wisdom, Understanding, Knowledge, and Power through Beauty, Courage, and Wit, on a Foundation of Universal Brotherhood..

This diverse body of Initiates is devoted to the establishment of a new way of coexisting through the securing of individual and personal liberties, which are governed by a strict system of values and ideals.

We are dedicated to the growth of our membership by providing an opportunity for individuals of like mind to come together in tolerance and fraternity. We encourage our members to study Liber Al vel Legis (The Book of The Law) to bring them closer to their True Wills and to the liberty of the individual.

We periodically offer classes, social functions, and rituals celebrating the Thelemic holidays and our central rite, the Gnostic Mass, for the public to enjoy along-side our members. See our Calendar of Events for more details.
